A horrifying description of 12-year old Nujood Ali's 2-year marriage to a man who is 'old and ugly' and beat and tortured her. Saddest part is, after the divorce was granted, the husband was not prosecuted but compensated for his loss as per Sharaiah law. Poor Nujood was ordered to pay him more than $200. This from a family that refuses to send her to school citing that they cannot afford the travel or the food expenses.

This has happened in Sana'a, the capital of Yemen and has taken the whole world by storm. How many terrible similar incidents in our country??
