Rava Idli


You will need:
Rava (Semolina)
Curds/Yoghurt
Salt
Mustard
Aesofotida
Channa Dal (Kadalai Paruppu)
Curry leaves
Green chillies (chopped)


Mix necessary amount of rava with curds (ratio 1:2) and keep aside for 20 minutes to 1/2 hour. Add salt to taste, temper with remaining ingredients and steam as you would idlis.

Serve with Pudina Thuviyal (check out the rest of the blog for the recipe) and you will love it!

You can substitute the Rava with Semiya (Vermicelli) and *voila* Semiya Idlis!

I tried this recipe of Sanjeev Kapoor's. Everyone at home and at work completely loved it!
Only change I made: boiled the peas beforehand.
