I'm now 4 and 3/4 months pregnant (19 weeks to be politically correct). I thought I did feel the baby kicking yesterday and the day before but am not too sure - maybe my imagination.
I am thrilled that a few of my friends are preggers as well - 3 others to be exact. Nice to share the moments with someone who is pretty much going through it at the same time.
23.02.09: 29 weeks, a tummy like I've never seen on my body before and movement in my belly that feels oh so weird, but oh so good!!! I have started pre-natal classes. I recommend this to all. Dwi Maternity Studio in Chennai. Rakhi Kapoor who runs the place is awesome! She answers every question you have with patience and encourages you to feel and be fit. I have been a little lazy.....!!
27.04.09: Still knocked up, not loving it anymore!! I have NEVER felt so uncomfortable in my life. Gone and strained my groin so I can't walk and move without pain. Bloody frustrating! Good thing its 13 days to go to D-Day....:)
01.05.09: So it seems that the fluid in my uterus is just about adequate and the baby's cord is near its neck. Since it is a mature baby, my doc suggests that we should induce labour. And that happens tomorrow. I finally feel a sense of upcoming freedom!! My life is about to change drastically!:)
18.05.09: I have a daughter! Her name is Triyana which means the 3 paths to enlightenment in Buddhism. Shravan and I are totally thrilled!
There was no labour induced.. after a LOOONNNG discussion with 2 doctors (!!!, it was decided that I should go in for a c-section on the 2nd directly. Got admitted the night before and Triyana was born at 6.53am. 3.25 kgs and such a doll!!!
The surgery was actually quite interesting. I had a spinal shot given to me and was knocked out only waist down. At first it was unnerving but then I didnt feel anything (apart from a pull or two)so I started to relax.
Well, thats what it felt like being pregnant. Updates on motherhood in another post!!:)

Margazhi
I am enjoying the music, dance season this year at Bharat Kalachar. Have attended concerts of Mandolin Shrinivas, Unnikrishnan and Aruna Sairam. Pity I missed Priyadarshini Govind & Kalakshetra performing.
The Beginning
Finally I have sat down and started a blog. Been thinking of doing this for quite a while now. For those who, in the unlikely event, get to read this, please feel free to comment and suggest. Well, I do have the discretion to work on the comments and suggestions:)
